For 23-year-old violinist Juli Bazzazi, every performance begins with a moment of mindfulness: pause, breathe, tune. Perfect intonation – both technical and artistic – is essential for her. That’s why she was immediately intrigued when she discovered the app “Music Tools & Widgets”: a clever iPhone tool that gives musicians instant access to a metronome, keyboard, or tone generator right from the lock screen – without ads or long load times.
In December, the next highlight arrives: a tuner you can activate instantly, just like the camera or flashlight. Juli tested the feature in real-world practice and provided valuable feedback – such as how to make the volume display more intuitive or how to automatically adapt to instruments like violin or cello.
“A tuner that feels like an instrument itself – fast, precise, and clear,” Juli says. For Günthner, this collaboration is essential: “Design doesn’t work in a vacuum. It only comes alive through experts like Juli.”
The result: an app that shows how thoughtful design and artistic sensitivity work together – and what tomorrow’s music technology can look like.
